A KINVER community group is asking villagers if they would like to follow the lead of many towns and areas across the country that have opted for a 20mph limit.

Kinver Eco Collective is asking people in the village to give their views on whether a 20mph limit in residential areas would make Kinver a better place to live.

The group has put together information on how the scheme has worked elsewhere and to date a raft of positive responses have been received to its questionnaire which can be found online at https://www.kinveronline.co.uk/20-is-plenty/

Phil Jones, of Kinver Eco Collective, said: “Most people say it would improve life, and 75 per cent say it would make them feel happier about children walking to school or friends.

“Some residents have put forward further ideas about ways to improve road safety locally.”

People have until Tuesday May 10 to take part in the survey.
