A BRIERLEY Hill takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Blakey's Eastern Memories takeaway in the High Street was given the score after assessment on March 21, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Dudley's 313 takeaways with ratings, 116 (37 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

The FSA rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory.

People can see the results of all food hygiene inspections via Dudley Council’s website or on the national ratings.food.gov.uk website.
