STOURBRIDGE MP Suzanne Webb joined litter pickers from the Wild Earth Movement to help tidy up in Brompton Park, Amblecote.
The Conservative MP joined mums, dads and little ones who turned out to help Hannah Picken, founder of Wild Earth Movement, on the Sunday morning clean-up.
Despite inclement weather, more than 30 people turned out including Amblecote councillors Paul Bradley and Pete Lee and 47kg of litter was collected from the park in Withymoor Village.
Suzanne said: “Hannah promised a morning of fun and it was just that and the community spirit was really evident as we cleaned up the park in return for donuts and seed bombs.
“Green spaces are important, not just to protect them from development but also to ensure we keep them free from human impact such as litter and dog poo so they can be enjoyed by everyone, whatever their age."
She added: "It was a great few hours of community action.”
