STOURBRIDGE Repair Cafe continues to thrive at its new venue, members say.

Volunteers able to turn their hands to all manner of repairs meet at St Thomas's Church Hall, Market Street, Stourbridge, on the fourth Saturday of each month.

The next repair café will operate on Saturday May 28, from 10am to 2pm, with the last item for repair taken at 1.30pm.

Homemade cake and tea and coffee is available to customers.

Repair café spokesperson Marion Meadows said: “There are no charges made but we really appreciate donations as a means of enabling us to continue with the service to the people of Stourbridge.

“Anyone is welcome to come along to find out more about the service that we offer and new volunteers are always welcome.”

If people want to learn how to alter or mend their own clothes the group has a skilled tailoress willing to share skills.
