MY rates in 1987 were £250 a year for a three-bedroom detached home.
Now I pay £2,500 for a two-bedroom bungalow.
No street sweep or lights and potholed roads.
Limited bin collections and visits to skip and trailer permits.
We also have gridlocked traffic in Hereford.

There are no local police or manned stations.
I’m not sure what we pay for?
Can I stop paying rates and sort my own waste?
Private firms would probably pay me for it, as proper waste recycling can actually make money.
