VINTAGE miltary vehicles and a parachute display can be seen at Himley Hall and Park this weekend as part of Armed Forces Day celebrations.

A free family-friendly event, run by Dudley Council and supported by Fieldings Auctioneers and Jewson, will take place on Sunday June 26 from 11am to 5pm.

The event is one of the biggest celebrations of the armed forces in the region and it will include a paintball gallery, a vintage military vehicle display and dance lesson taster sessions hosted by All About Swing.

There will also be Lily & Lolly's Ultimate Vintage & Craft Fayres, a 1940s style tea room, vintage fairground rides and more.

The Wings Parachute Display Team will also be landing in the grounds during the event and there will also be a climbing wall, archery and rifle range for people to try.

Councillor Sue Greenaway, the Mayor of Dudley, said: "We’re really privileged to host this event every year. We have very strong local links with the armed forces and it makes this event even more meaningful for us.

"There’s lots for all the family to see and do and I’m really looking forward to the parachute display which is always really exciting. I hope people come along and show their support for our braved armed forces."
