A POPULAR centenarian from Pedmore known for always having a tale to tell has died aged 105.
Members of Pedmore Senior Citizens Club are getting set to say a final farewell to co-founder Florence Bradshaw who remained dedicated to the club until her death on Saturday February 23.
Florence, known as May, was a on hand to celebrate the club's 40th anniversary last year.
Despite her age, May was still a active member of the club which meets at Saint Peters centre, Pedmore Lane, every other Wednesday.
She was originally from Oldbury and retired to Pedmore with her husband George in 1963, before taking up residency at The Cedars Residential Home in Redlake Road.
Over the years May made many friends and was especially close to club chairman Dorothy Clarke.
Dorothy, who has been chairman of the club for nearly 25 years, said: "May was well known in the community, she was a lovely pleasant lady who always had a good tale to tell.
"She was a strong supporter of the club, a lot of people knew her and will miss her."
May Bradshaw's funeral will take place on Tuesday March 4 at Saint Peters, Pedmore, for further details contact the centre on 01562 887287.
