On the back of the Stourbridge firsts picking up a vital home win it was also a great weekend for both the U15s and U16s who progressed to the semi-finals of the North Midlands Cup.
The U16s had to endure a hard-fought game against local rivals Old Halesonians.
Roy Hemmings opened the scoring on two minutes with a 30-metre run to score in the corner, which was converted by Sam Baker.
The next try was the result of sustained forward pressure with Joe Geach grounding under the posts for Baker to convert. Before half-time Stourbridge extended their lead with tries from Will Jenkins and a second from Roy Hemmings, one of which was converted by Baker.
The second-half was a much tougher affair with both sides defending well. Old Halesonians reduced the deficit with a converted try from Callum Mahoney before Jenkins wrapped things up for Stourbridge and with a further conversion from Baker, the final the final score read 31-7.
The U15s enjoyed a 31-5 win against Ledbury with tries from Joe Hogan (2) Will Fallow, George Mitchell, and Jordon Bullock with James Brooks kicking three conversions.
In the semi-finals the U15s will entertain Moseley and the U16s travel to Birmingham Solihull.
