A "GODSEND" borough children's nurse has been nominated for a national award by the family of one of her patients.
Louise Collins, who works as a diabetes specialist nurse at Netherton Health Centre, has been naominated for the first ever national patient's award, organised by the journal, Nursing Standard.
She was nominated for the prize by Sally Renny, of Bridgnorth Road, Stourbridge, who as chair of the local group of the national charity Diabetes UK dubbed Louise a "complete godsend".
The overall winner will be announced in London on Thursday March 27.
Louise said: "I love my job, its hard work and I am lucky to have the support of some great colleagues, receiving news that I have been nominated for this award and knowing that the work I do is making a difference makes it all worthwhile."
