TOP new food hygiene ratings have been given to pubs, cafes and takeaways in Dudley, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The following ratings have been given to two cafes:

Tay Ballys Cafe at Plaza Mall, High Street, Dudley, was rated five on September 7.

Village Café at Roseville Precinct, Coseley, Bilston, was rated five on September 7.

Pubs, bars and nightclubs:

The New Inn on Cherry Street, Norton, Stourbridge, was rated 5 on September 14.

The Woodman on Mount Pleasant, Kingswinford, was rated 4 on August 22.

Takeaways:

Five Star Caterers on Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was rated 5 on September 15.

The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
