A NEW charity shop is set to open at Merry Hill shopping centre tomorrow (Thursday November 24).
The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity shop will be on the lower mall near Asda and will open tomorrow at 11am.
An appeal for donations and volunteers has been issued.
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity operates six successful charity shops across the region, and this latest addition will be the only charity shop in Merry Hill.
The shop is opening in time for Christmas shopping and Black Friday deals.
The pre-hospital emergency service is appealing for donations of pre-loved goods including electricals, clothing, shoes, toys, bric-a-brac, books and media and linen.
Donations can be made to the charity’s HQ, just two miles from the new shop, at Hawthorn House on the Dudley Road.
There are two donation stations based inside the reception area of the head office building.
For donations of bigger items such as pre-loved furniture, which can be collected for free within a ten-mile radius of Merry Hill, please call the charity on 0800 8 40 20 40.
There are a range of roles available for volunteers at Merry Hill, which are perfect for those looking for retail experience and to gain new skills.
For more information about volunteering at the new charity shop, email Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s volunteer manager, Alison Hill via alison.hill@midlandsairambulance.com or call 0800 8 40 20 40.
