PLANS have been submitted to demolish Stourbridge’s Peugeot old dealership.

Motor retailer Pendragon PLC has lodged the plan with Dudley Council’s planning department to bulldoze the empty former car showroom in Hagley Road and make changes to the adjacent KIA dealership.

Various internal alterations to the Kia sales building are proposed to bring it in line with current KIA company requirements and the creation of a new valet building.

Full planning permission is being sought for the changes which will see existing cladding to the front elevation repainted, new cladding added to the south elevation and a new glazed corner created for the KIA dealership where the Peugeot wall is to be demolished.

A design and access statement submitted to council planners by the Unwin Jones Partnership on behalf of the applicant states: “Demolition of the existing Peugeot garage to provide greater display capacity in a new car display area.”
