A PLANE has crashed at Halfpenny Green Airport.

It is understood the small aircraft crashed around 1 pm today (Friday, December 9).

An amateur photographer captured the moment the plane hit the ground.

“I heard a big bang, it was quite startling,” said Mark.

“The onsite fire crews were there right away; it was very efficient.

“Police and other fire trucks arrived as well.

“Things like this don’t happen here.”

It is currently not known whether anyone has been injured during the crash.
