RUNNERS, walkers and fundraisers will be pounding the streets of Wordsley next week when the village's traditional fun run is revived.

The popular race starts and finishes in King George V Park in Bells Lane on Wednesday June 11, kicking off at 7.45pm...ahead of the main Wordsley Festival event, taking place on Saturday June 14.

People can run or walk the two-mile course, which will see medals awarded to all finishers and trophies handed out to the fastest male and female past the finishing post.

More leisurely participants can also push prams, walk their dogs, or even don fancy dress.

Racegoers are also invited to raise money for their own causes; any sponsorship money raised can be donated to a charity of the entrant's choice.

The entry fee is £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for under 16s and senior citizens.

Last-minute runners can enter on the day, but must register by 7.15pm.
