PLANS to build a house in the garden of a Stourbridge home have been submitted to the council.

An application to build a detached two-bedroom house in the plot of 32, Lady Grey's Walk has gone in to Dudley Council.

An existing garage would be demolished to make way for the new house.

One neighbour has objected saying: "I am concerned about this planning application for two main reasons, firstly the planned building is considerably larger than the garage (which is only a metal shed) that is already on the site and will cause loss of light to my neighbouring property.

"Secondly the area in front of the proposed build is used for parking by local allotment holders, loss of this parking space will cause considerable traffic congestion within the street."

The application, in the Wollaston and Stourbridge Town ward, was submitted on December 23 and registered by the council on January 16.
