POLICE have issued a warning to farmers and livestock owners after sheep were stolen overnight in Belbroughton.
North Worcestershire PC Mike Roberts highlighted the theft in a neighbourhood alert on the West Mercia Neighbourhood Matters website today (Monday February 13).
He said: “We have received reports that unknown offenders have entered farm land in the Belbroughton area overnight and sheep have been stolen.”
PC Roberts said four sheep were stolen in the incident and two died as a result of injuries sustained, while another five suffered injuries.
He urged people to be alert for any suspicious activity in rural areas, such as unknown people or vehicles close to field entrances, and to report any concerns to the police, farmers or landowners.
