A TEENAGE motorcyclist killed in a crash in Kingswinford has been named on social media as Pauly Skidmore.

The 19-year-old was treated at the scene of the incident in Stream Road, which happened just before 6pm on Tuesday March 21, but he died of his injuries.

The tragedy has left friends and family heartbroken. Many have taken to Facebook to pay tribute to the popular motorbike rider – a former Pensnett High School student.

His sister Emillie Louise said she was “absolutely devastated” and she added: “He was well and truly loved and well-known for his cheeky smile and that laugh.”

While Rubie Skidmore said: “You’re my biggest angel now! You’re gonna be the brightest star in the sky. “Gonna miss you loads and love you always my brother.”

On fishing tackle and bait shop RD Tackle’s Facebook page, a post read: “It is with sad heart that we lost a good friend and customer to a tragic accident, RIP Pauly Skidmore, our thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends at such a terrible time, sleep well mate, from us all at RD.”

Those who knew Pauly have been invited to a gathering tonight (Wednesday) at 7pm by The Portway, Kingswinford, to light a candle in memory of him.

A balloon release is also planned for Sunday March 26 at 1pm at The Dell Stadium, Pensnett, Brierley Hill.

Police investigating the fatal crash, which involved a van and happened at the junction of Glynne Avenue, have launched an appeal for witnesses.

The van driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 3804 21/3/23.
