COMEDY legend Jack Dee is appearing in Brierley Hill on Saturday, with a few tickets still available.

The popular deadpan stand-up is performing an extended 45-minute headline set, topping the bill for the latest Live At The Civic, courtesy of comedy promoters Funny Beeseness at the town’s Civic Hall.

Nearly 500 tickets have already been snapped up, with balcony seating now on sale online at funnybeeseness.co.uk.

Jack, known for his grumpy demeanour, will be supported on the night by the world’s oldest Jewish comic Sol Bernstein and the bubbly Ninia Benjamin, with Wayne Beese as resident host and MC.

Wayne said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Jack Dee will be performing on one of our stages this weekend for the first time.

“We try to bring the very best to Brierley Hill, and there is no doubt that Jack is firmly established as one of the country’s biggest and best-loved comedy stars.

“Tickets have sold really well but there are still a few left, so if you’re at a loose end over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend come and give us a try, you won’t regret it.”

Dee's appearance comes after Milton Jones headlined at the venue in February, with Bill Bailey there last July. Other past Live At The Civic headliners include Joe Lycett, Joel Dommett, Seann Walsh, Nina Conti, Tom Stade, Ross Noble and more.

Doors and the bar open at 7pm at the Bank Street venue, with the show starting at 8pm.
