Novice Norton Brownies have beaten lockdown difficulties to become the first in their unit and Norton District to achieve their Brownie Gold Award.
Hannah Watton, Ava Stackhouse and Megan Aldis, all aged 10, of 3rd Norton Brownies joined the group in January 2020 and became official Brownies just before lockdown in 2020.
They have spent half their Brownie journey virtually and all worked hard in three years to achieve their bronze, silver and now gold awards.
They completed all badges covering topics including know yourself, have adventures, take action, be well, express myself and skills for the future.
Group leader, Sarah Shaw, said: "I am so proud of all their efforts, and it was a pleasure to award the girls their top award at Norton Guide Hut.
"The awards evening was kept a secret from the girls and to see their faces as their names were called is a memory I will never forget, magical."
