POLICE have urged motorists to protect their vehicles after a high-performance Ford Focus RS was stolen without keys from Belbroughton.
The car was taken from Hartle Lane in the village at about 11pm on Friday May 12.
Hagley and Rubery PC Marc Ginder, of West Mercia Police, highlighted the incident in a neighbourhood alert.
He said: “Officers from West Mercia and West Midlands Police worked together and located the stolen Ford RS a short time later, this resulted in a second stolen vehicle being pursued and a number of arrests made. Great work!”
He also warned drivers of keyless cars to be vigilant and to consider buying a signal blocking pouch for the main and spare fob to help keep car thieves at bay.
Pc Ginder also advised motorists to fit a steering wheel lock to their vehicle while it is unattended to help make it more difficult to steal.
