A GRAND opening celebration will be held at the new Cake Box shop in Stourbridge this Saturday (July 1).

The fresh cream cake shop, towards the top of the High Street, quietly opened a few weeks ago but official celebrations will take place tomorrow from noon.

Cake Box makes personalised celebration cakes, cheesecakes, cake slices and cupcakes – with all products completely egg-free and suitable for a lacto-vegetarian diet.

Anter Dasoria, franchisee, said: “We are so looking forward to our grand store opening party on Saturday July 1.

“There will be free cake samples, of course, but the store will have a lovely balloon arch, have some giant cake inflatables, an air dancer and the red carpet VIP ribbon cutting ceremony too.

“There will be lots of activity from noon onwards, into the afternoon.

“Everyone is welcome to pop along and join in the fun to celebrate our opening with us.”

Founder and CEO of Cake Box, Sukh Chamdal, added: “I’m personally excited to be expanding into Stourbridge - we identified the local area as having a great fit with Cake Box and its range of products.

“I know just how personal a local cake shop is to the community, having started Cake Box in East London as a single store back in 2008.

“I never expected such welcoming customers who instantly become regulars and helped me realise that we can solve the problem thousands of people throughout the UK face when they want a personalised cake; not having to pay £100 or more and waiting a week for it.

“All our customers can have their cakes personalised and ready within an hour, free of charge.

“We also understand that people like to shop online, and we can serve these customers through our website at cakebox.com.

“They can take advantage of collection in-store, or delivery. I look forward to seeing the success of Cake Box Stourbridge.”
