A FUND has been set up to help pay for the funeral of a "caring" Quarry Bank teenager who died suddenly.

Conner Robinson was found dead at his home in Woodland Avenue on Monday June 26.

Paramedics and police rushed to the scene, but nothing could be done to save the 17-year-old, who suffered from epilepsy.

Conner's brother Liam Davies said his father Mark Robinson found Conner at 10am and that he had already passed away.

Liam said Conner loved films and would go to watch a movie almost every day at the Odeon cinema at Merry Hill where staff were "like his family."

Conner, who attended the Sutton School on the Russells Hall estate in Dudley, which is a special school, was studying Animal Care at Dudley College.

He also had autism.

Liam said the family is still in shock.

He said: "We can't believe what has happened, it doesn't seem real.

"Conner loved animals - he was a loving and caring person who cared about everyone.

"He went to the Odeon Cinema at Merry Hill every day - the Odeon team were like family to him."

Liam said on the gofundme appeal to raise £2k to cover the funeral cost: "Conner passed away at the age of 17 due to epilepsy he also had ADHD and autism but still lived his life to the fullest.

"The funds will take the pressure off my family with this unexpected death at the young age of 17 all the funds will go to his funeral what's left over will go to epilepsy action uk."

The family is waiting for the result of a postmortem to establish Conner's cause of death.

The funeral will be at Stourbridge Crematorium on Friday July 28 at 1.30pm.
