Mayor opens Kingswood Mobility Group site in Dudley

With 26 years in the mobility sector, the company manufactures furniture and equipment to help older people and those with mobility issues to maintain their independence and lifestyle within their own homes.

The company manufactures bespoke adjustable reclining chairs and beds, as well as walk in baths and showers, bath lifts and bathing aids.

The firm has invested in a state-of-the-art factory on the Grazebrook Estate that has been custom-built with sustainability in mind including energy-efficient manufacturing processes and solar panels to reduce its carbon footprint.

Kingswood Mobility Group has also teamed up with the New Starts project which takes once-loved furniture and gifts to recently rehoused people who would otherwise struggle to furnish their home. They have already helped hundreds of households and saved a significant amount of CO2 being released into the atmosphere.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Andrea Goddard, said:"Kingswood Mobility Group is already an established business in our region and it’s great to welcome them to our borough with their new state-of-the-art factory.

Jeremy Rolph, CEO for Kingswood Mobility Group, said the move to Grazebrook Park had been a "significant milestone for the company" and he added: "We are excited by the next chapter in our storied legacy.
