EDIT: Fantastic news! Diesel is home safe and well with his relieved family.

He was found on a disused railway line in Wombourne by a kind man who took him home and called the number on his tag.

A FAMILY is desperate to find their 11-year-old Jack Russell who was in a car when it was stolen from Kinver Edge Farm Shop.

Luke Sadler was unloading pumpkins from a trailer into the shop on Sandy Lane this morning (Tuesday October 3) when someone jumped in the driver's seat and drove off.

Diesel was in the truck at the time and has not been found - despite the trailer and white Toyota Hilux being discovered by police this morning shortly after the theft.

The Toyota Hilux was found on Planet Road in Brierley Hill with a witness seeing two men carrying a dog from the scene.

Police tweeted that they had found the vehicle and trailer this morning.

Luke's wife Amie Sadler said the family is desperate to find Diesel, who they have owned since he was eight weeks old.

The mum of a baby boy said: "It's awful - we've just been driving round to see if we can find him.

"We've been knocking on doors, looking round the nearby nature reserve to see if they have left him anywhere.

"We just want him home safely - we've had him since he was eight weeks old and he's 11 now.

"He's likely to be very frightened.

"We're offering a reward for his return - we just want him back."

Diesel is wearing a collar and is chipped. The family runs the farm shop.

Anyone with information can call Luke on 07960 123429.
