TRAFIC bosses have warned motorists they face major disruption at a busy road junction in Stourbridge due to a double whammy of emergency repairs currently being carried out.

Senior network co-ordinator Chris Spittle in Dudley Council’s traffic and transportation department said two separate utility works are currently being underway at the same time at the traffic island junction of Hagley Road, Redlake Road, Ham Lane and Pedmore Lane.

Cadent gas is undertaking emergency gas leak repair works outside 158 Ham Lane, Pedmore, using two-way signals which are being manually controlled from 7am to 7pm.

The work started on Monday (October 30) and is due to finish on Friday November 10, although the end date may change.

Meanwhile, Severn Trent Water is undertaking emergency works to repair the sewer line outside 6 Redlake Road using multiway signals.

Dudley Council has requested these be manually controlled from 7am to 7pm.

Work started today (Thursday November 2) and is due to finish on Monday November 6.
