CROWDS of people lined the streets in Stourbridge town centre to see a parade of military vehicles organised as part of Remembrance Day commemorations.
Hundreds of people watched the second Stourbridge Military Vehicle Parade just after noon today (Saturday November 11).
The Mayor of the West Midlands Andy Street, Stourbridge’s MP Suzanne Webb and the Deputy Mayor of Dudley Cllr Pete Lee were among dignitaries who walked on foot in the parade ahead of pipers from the Shirley Pipe Band.
A long line of military vehicles including a tank trundled through the town and made their way to the Bonded Warehouse in Canal Street where they were put on display afterwards for people to look around.

Military vehicle enthusiast David Spruce organised the event to bring to life Remembrance celebrations in Stourbridge and generate support for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
He also organised a shop window competition – sponsored by Stourbridge Shuttle operator Pre-Metro – which was won by The Mary Stevens Hospice shop in Stourbridge High Street.
Residents at Stourbridge care home Parkfield Grange were also treated to a sneak preview of the parade a few days earlier when some of the cars stopped off at the facility in Hagley Road.
