A SHOW home has opened on a new housing development in Kingswinford - with homes available via Shared Ownership.

The three-storey show home opened on the Stallings Place development on Oak Lane just off Stallings Lane on Saturday (November 11) with visitors treated to hot pork, goody bags and tours of the property.

Prices start from £80,100 for a shared ownership home.

Shared Ownership allows buyers to purchase a share of their home and pay rent on the remaining amount, typically buying between 10% and 75% of the property’s full market value.

This lowers the amount needed for a deposit, with most deposits on shared ownership schemes between 5% and 10% of the share and not the full amount.

Developer Platform Home Ownership said it has seen an increased in popularity in the Shared Ownership Scheme and sold 55% more Shared Ownership homes between April 2021 and March 2022 compared to the previous year.

The home is fitted with central heating and double-glazed windows, a drive for two vehicles and a 10-year build warranty.

The development comprises a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom Shared Ownership homes available in multiple configurations.

The new homes are a short distance from the centre of Kingswinford.

This combined with the Pensnett Trading Estate within walking distance of the development and the Russells Hall Hospital also nearby means there are plenty of employment opportunities for those looking for a Kingswinford home.

Sabina Cox, Marketing Manager at Platform said: “We’re thrilled to finally be opening this gorgeous show home, and job Edward Thomas interiors has done an incredible job to display what can be achieved here.

“This home is in a great location for first-time buyers, young professionals and many types of homebuyers to settle into with a fantastic blend of rural and urban living.”
