TRIBUTES have been paid to a man killed in a Lye crash who had ‘a pure soul with the biggest heart’ as police reveal two people have been arrested.

Zayn Ahmed, aged 21, died at the scene after the black BMW 325 M Sport he was driving struck street furniture on the Stourbridge Road, just before 7pm on Friday (November 10).

His devastated family released a moving tribute to Zayn today (Tuesday November 14) as police revealed they have arrested two men, aged 24 and 21, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Both have been interviewed and released on police bail while enquiries continue.

The family's statement said: “Zayn was a loving son and brother, loved dearly by his friends and family.

“He was always kind and was a generous, reliable young man who we were proud to call a son and brother.

"A pure soul with the biggest heart.

"A gorgeous smile that could light the whole world up. He was a selfless individual who never failed to put the needs of others before his own.

“This is a huge loss to all that knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed."

Police said they are continuing to investigate the circumstances around the crash and believe two other cars were involved and could have contributed to the collision.

They said they have made two arrests.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Our specialist investigators continue to liaise with Zayn’s family, so that we can keep them fully updated with our investigation.

"Our thoughts remain with them at this very difficult time."
