ROADS in Stourbridge town centre will be temporarily closed this Saturday (November 25) for the town’s Christmas lights switch-on ceremony.

High Street, Market Street and Coventry Street will be closed to traffic from 6am to 8pm so the fun-filled festive event can go ahead safely.

Traffic will be diverted via St Johns Road, New Road, Bell Street.

The Christmas lights will be officially switched on at 5pm by Elf, together with the Deputy Mayor of Dudley - Councillor Peter Lee.

The official switch-on will follow a day of festive fun comprising entertainment from choirs, singers and performers, street acts, funfair rides and a Christmas market.
