A STOURBRIDGE man has appeared in court in connection with an incident that saw the bomb squad called out to Norton.
Sean Soley, of The Broadway, Norton, appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court this morning (Friday January 5).
The 37-year-old has been charged with two counts of malicious communications and released on bail.
West Midlands Police confirmed the court appearance after a day of drama which saw the Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team deployed to Norton on Thursday January 4 after “suspicious items” were found at a property on The Broadway.
The occupants of two premises were evacuated for a time and a police cordon was put in place until the area was deemed safe.
