A man has sustained life-threatening injuries following a one-car crash in Brierley Hill.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) was called at 12.56pm today (Wednesday, January 10) to a road traffic collision where a car had collided with a wall at the junction of Kirkstone Way and Ambleside Drive in Amblecote.
One ambulance, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and a passing-by Patient Transport Service crew attended the scene.
He was found to be in a critical condition and received advanced trauma care before being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Upon arrival, we found a man who was the driver of the car. He was assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained life-threatening injuries.
"He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff which continued en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was conveyed for further treatment."
