POLICE are hunting for a man following a retail theft and assault in Stourbridge last month.

The incident happened at a petrol station in Oldswinford at 6.15pm on Wednesday December 6.

Two men selected and concealed food items before making their way out of the store.

"One of the men attempted to assault a staff member who challenged them and recovered the items," a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said.

The same man also pushed a young boy, causing injury while fleeing.

Police have now issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to about the incident.

Anyone who recognises the man in the image or has any information about the incident is asked to contact police using 101 or Live Chat online, quoting crime number 20/1063602/23.

Alternatively, people can pass on information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111 or via the charity's website crimestoppers-uk.org.
