A 15-year-old girl who was stabbed in the head and arms with scissors at her school has spoken of her horrific ordeal.

Chloe Fisher was left with gaping wounds to her head and blood pouring down her face after she was allegedly attacked in an English lesson at Wordsley School yesterday afternoon (Monday February 26) at around 2pm.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault with intent to cause serious harm and remains in custody for questioning, police said today.

Chloe, who was treated at Russells Hall Hospital for her injuries, said: "I didn't feel anything - I just went completely numb.

"I was in shock and had my eyes closed, I didn't know what was going on."

Chloe's dad Jay Fisher rushed to the school on Brierley Hill Road.

The 36-year-old father-of-three, who is a refuse collector and HGV driver for Dudley Council said his daughter sent him a Whatsapp video of blood pouring down her face.

He said he spoke to her on the phone and she was "in a panic."

Jay took Chloe to Russells Hall Hospital for treatment.

He said: "She had to have a CT scan on her head as the hospital suspected a bleed behind the ear drum and they weren't sure how deep the stab wound was to her head.

"The nurses confirmed she had bleeding under the scalp but luckily the blade did not go deep enough to hit her skull."

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We were called to a report that a girl had been assaulted in Wordsley just before 2pm yesterday.

"We arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of assault with intent to cause serious harm.

"He remains in custody for questioning.

"A 15-year-old girl was treated for injuries she sustained to her arms and head."

The school said the incident is being dealt with through the schools 'behaviour policy' and that a full investigation is to take place.

Ashley Weatherhogg, headteacher at Wordsley School, said: "An incident took place in school yesterday afternoon, which is being dealt with through the school's behaviour policy.

"The school is now following the normal procedures and carrying out a full investigation."

Chloe, who lives in Brierley Hill with her family, bravely returned to school today on Tuesday to see her school counsellor, but the family are keeping Chloe and her brother off school as they say they don't feel that they are safe being there.
