A NEW food hygiene rating has been awarded to a Brierley Hill fish and chip shop, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Zaks Plaice fast food takeaway, in Brierley Hill High Street, was given a rating of 3 when inspected on February 12.

Ratings are published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory.

People can see the results of all food hygiene inspections via Dudley Council’s website or on the national ratings.food.gov.uk website.

Zak's Plaice has a four out of five customer rating on Google.
