POLICE have appealed for information after a man stole an expensive item of jewellery from an elderly woman's home in Wombourne.
A man forcibly entered the property, near Bratch Lane, on the pretence of being an antiques dealer on the morning of Wednesday April 3.
The woman, in her 70s, was not physically harmed, but felt intimidated – police said.
A solid gold charm bracelet – believed to be worth several hundred pounds – was later noticed to be missing.
The man has been described as being at least in his 50s and having a London accent. He was wearing a flat cap and brown suede shoes.
Police enquiries to identify the man involved are ongoing and officers have urged anyone with any information that could help to get in touch. People are asked to call 101, and quote incident 643 of April 4, or message officers via Live Chat on the Staffordshire Police website.
Alternatively people can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
