A WOMAN was hurt in a Pedmore crash which saw the driver of a suspected stolen car flee the scene.

Police and medics were called to a two-car crash on Ham Lane just before 11am on Sunday (June 9).

Two cars had crashed - police said the driver of one car, which they believed to be stolen, fled.

A woman was taken to Russells Hall Hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.

Police closed the road off while investigations took place and are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Ham Lane, Pedmore, shortly before 11am on Sunday.

"A woman was taken to hospital with injuries which were not believed to be serious.

"A man who was driving one of the vehicles, believed to be stolen, left the scene.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC near to the junction of Ham Lane and Beckman Road at 10.50am on Sunday, one ambulance and a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic, attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman.

"She was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Russell’s Hall Hospital."
