THE Air ambulance landed in Wordsley to help a woman who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Medics were called to an injured woman near Lawnswood Drive in Lawnswood yesterday (Monday July 1) at around 9.28am.
The Midland Air Ambulance from Cosford, the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an ambulance attended.
The woman was rushed to the QE by land ambulance.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.28am on Monday to an injured patient nearby to Lawnswood Drive in Lawnswood.
"One ambulance, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic, the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and the Midland Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
"Upon arrival we found a woman with serious injuries which were not life-threatening.
"She received advanced trauma care at the scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by land ambulance under emergency blue light conditions for further treatment.”
