A NEW president has taken over the helm at Stourbridge Speakers Club which is inviting new members to join.
Dilwyn Scott has taken over the running of the club, which meets at Stourbridge Institute in Market Street, Stourbridge, and he’s looking for new people to join and learn the art of good communication.
He said: “It is said that, at a funeral, very often, the person giving the eulogy would rather be in the box than having to speak in public.
“Stourbridge Speakers Club helps to solve that problem and gives people greater confidence both in front of an audience and in their wider lives.”
He added: “There are some vacancies in the club and visitors will be welcomed to see if this activity is what they are looking for.”
To find out more contact president Dilwyn Scott on 07961 570607 or email stourbridgespeakers@stourbridgespeakers.co.uk.
The next meeting will be held on Monday October 14, at Stourbridge Institute, from 8pm.
