Two teenagers have been arrested after a girl sustained a fractured eye socket during a robbery in Wollaston.
West Midlands Police said the 15-year-old girl was punched and kicked as her mobile phone was stolen on fields off the High Street on Saturday, September 14.
Two girls, both aged 15, have now been detained today (Wednesday, October 2) following enquiries.
They have both been arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been taken into custody for questioning.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We've arrested two teenagers after a girl sustained a fractured eye socket after being robbed in Wollaston.
"Tackling robbery is a priority for us and we are already running Operation Ruby to catch anyone involved."
