A POPULAR waterside event which attracts thousands of visitors is returning to Stourbridge this weekend.
Stourbridge Navigation Trust is once again holding its annual open weekend at The Bonded Warehouse, Canal Street, on October 19 and 20 from 10am until 5pm.
The free family-fun event, held next to the Stourbridge Canal, will feature food and craft stalls, together with a rally of around 50 boats, classic vehicles, a real ale bar, children’s rides, live music and more. There will also be two boat trips on the Sunday.
Nearby Riverside House, located at the end of Canal Street, will also be open to the public from 10am to 5pm on both days, with coffee and homemade cakes available.
There’ll also be a pumpkin hunt for all the family plus an autumn willow wreath workshop on the Sunday. Visit riverside-house.org.uk/ or email claire.price@riverside-house.org.uk
Canal Street will be closed to traffic both days, with visitors asked to walk to the event or park in nearby streets.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the event, which is the biggest in the trust’s annual calendar.
