AN attempted car theft in the early hours in Halesowen has prompted police to put out an image of a man they want to trace.

The incident happened on Grange Road on Wednesday April 9 at around 4.15am. 

Police said the suspect, who was wearing a hoodie, approached a car and tried to get into it by trying the door handle.

He was captured on CCTV.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Recognise this man?

"We want to speak to him about an attempted car theft in Halesowen.

"If you recognise this man or have any information that could help with our investigation, please contact us immediately."
