A National Trust site in the West Midlands which boasts panoramic views is holding two bluebell walks.

Clent Hills in Worcestershire, bordering Stourbridge and Halesowen, offers panoramic views over the Cotswolds, Shropshire Hills and Welsh borders.

On Friday May 8 the National Trust is holding a Bluebell walk at the Clent Hills, from 10am till 1pm.

The walk is around five miles long and will last around three hours.

Those participating will be led by one of National Trust’s Walk Leader volunteers who will share their knowledge of the nature surrounding the hills, as well as local folklore, and history.

As spring arrived bluebells have blanketed grassland at Clent Hills and its one of the perfect locations to spot the beautiful wildflowers.

National Trust Clent Hills posted on Facebook: “These walks are perfect for those looking to gain confidence in walking in the countryside, want to meet new people or want to discover new routes around the Clent Hills.

“Everyone is welcome and we walk at the pace of the slowest person.

“There may be a few stiles to navigate, and some sections of the route will be steep and hilly.”

There is also a shorter 3-mile walk talking place on Sun May 10 from 10am till 1pm.

Booking is essential by visiting the National Trust website.
