SEVERN Trent has apologised to Stourbridge residents who complained that water was flooding from a burst pipe for days.
The water pipe burst on Brook Street and according to local resident Drew Adams it took a week to repair.
Drew said: "Brook Street has been like this for a week - water going 24/7 - and Severn Trent have the audacity to charge the public the rates they do."
A Severn Trent spokesperson said that the burst pipe took longer to fix as it was "more complex than normal."
They said on Friday May 29: “We want to apologise for any inconvenience caused as our teams carried out emergency repairs to a burst pipe in Brook Street, Stourbridge.
"The issue was first reported on Tuesday and we had completed the repair by the following evening, with reinstatement works due to finish this afternoon (Friday).
"The repair was a little more complex than normal and our priority was to keep everyone on supply, so we want to thank local people for their patience and understanding.”
