A day of family fun is returning this summer with activities and celebrations for all ages.

The Wordsley Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 12th July 2026 at King George V Park from 12 noon to 5pm.

Now in its third year, the free event is part of the wider Black Country Festival and will be officially opened by the Mayor of Dudley at 12.30pm.

Councillor Kerry Lewis, event organiser, said: "The event has grown year on year and has become a wonderful opportunity for families, residents, local groups and businesses to come together, celebrate our community, and enjoy a fun-filled day.

"There will be something for everyone to enjoy.

"I would like to thank the Friends of Wordsley Parks volunteers, community groups, sponsors and everyone involved in organising the event for their hard work and commitment in making it possible.

"I encourage residents from across Wordsley and beyond to come along, support local organisations and enjoy what promises to be another fantastic day for the whole family."

Entertainment will begin with a performance from Bhangra Smash Up, with a full afternoon of activities to follow.

Visitors can enjoy Thomas Jones fun fair, a dog show, pony rides, bouncy castles, face painting, and live entertainment.

There will also be community group demonstrations, craft and community stalls, food and drink vendors, classic cars, and the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Mascot appearances and live coverage from Black Country Radio will add to the day’s entertainment.

The event is supported by the Black Country Festival, Friends of Wordsley Parks, and local volunteers, community groups, and organisations.
