Residents are being invited to a free screening of 'The People's Emergency Briefing' at a Stourbridge school.

The community event will take place at Elmfield School on Love Lane on Thursday September 24 at 7.30pm.

The film, shown across the UK, is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster and features leading scientists and experts discussing the impacts of climate change and nature loss on communities, health, food security, and the cost of living.

Organised by local volunteers, including community campaigner Lois Bramall, the event aims to foster discussion about local action.

Lois said: "This isn't about politics – it's about giving people the chance to hear the latest evidence from independent experts and have an open conversation about what it means for Stourbridge and our future.

"Everyone is welcome, whether climate change is something you think about every day or you've never been to an event like this before.

"We hope people will come along, watch the film, ask questions, and share ideas.

"Stourbridge has always been a community that comes together to tackle challenges, and this is an opportunity to have an honest, respectful discussion about one of the biggest issues facing future generations."

The screening will be followed by a community discussion led by local organisers.

The event is free to attend, but places should be booked in advance through the organisers' ticket page.
