WINTER weather has continued to cause disruption for people in the Stourbridge region with many schools closed due to the icy conditions.

Primary schools closed in the region today are: Ashwood Park, Wordsley.

Brierley Hill, Brierley Hill.

Church of Ascension, Wall Heath.

Fairhaven, Wordsley.

Gig Mill, Stourbridge.

Hob Green, Stourbridge.

The Briers School, Kingswinford.

The Ridge, Stourbridge.

Thorns Primary, Quarry Bank.

Secondary schools have also been affected, with the following sites closed today: Crestwood, Kingswinford.

Kingswinford School, Kingswinford.

Pedmore Technology College, Stourbridge.

Redhill School, Stourbridge.

Summerhill, Kingswinford.

Thorns Community College, Brierley Hill.

Wordsley School.

Haybridge High School in Hagley, Hagley RC School, Hagley Primary School and Edgecliff High School in Kinver are also closed for the day.

Stourbridge College and King Edward 6th College in Stourbridge are closed for the day and all special schools in Dudley Borough are shut.

The Dell Stadium in Brierley Hill remains closed due to the conditions and bin collections will take place where it is safe to do so, trade waste collections have been suspended until Saturday.

Day centres, Home Care services and leisure centres are open as usual although transport to day centres has been cancelled today.
