A MAN who boasted he was the "Bareknuckle fighter from Kingswinford"has been jailed for a violent attack.

Rocky Price, aged 22, has been put behind bars for 15 months for attacking three people at the Waterfront in Brierley Hill.

On Wednesday January 27, Julian Elcock, prosecuting, told Wolverhampton Crown Court Rocky Price was drinking with his brother, Robert Price, aged 20, when they voiced their concerns about a small boy wandering near the road outside Weatherspoons.

The boy's mother then got into an argument with the brothers and she pushed Rocky Price in the chest just as her partner came out of the pub.

He tried to pull her away from the dispute but Robert Price squared up to him and it was when she said she would call on Hell's Angels to help her that Rocky said he was a renowned fighter from Kingswinford.

Robert Price then punched the woman's partner in the face knocking him to the ground while his brother struck the little boy's mother displacing her nose.

The woman's partner was then kicked as he tried to get up before Robert Price punched another man who came out of the pub to give his assistance to the couple.

The two brothers, of Oak Lane caravan site, Kingswinford, both admitted affray and Judge Michael Challinor told them: "You are developing a pattern of violence that must be stamped out."

He said: "This was violence in a public place that involved kicking and the harm you did was quite significant. You both have to learn that if you behave violently in public you will lose your liberty."

The court was told the brothers had both been given ten month suspended prison sentences last year for an offence of affray committed against another family with whom they had a "vendetta" on the caravan site.

Kevin Grego, defending, said the offence outside the Waterfront began when the brothers made what they felt was a "genuine and appropriate" comment with the small boy walking by the road.

He maintained there was an "element of provocation" by the other parties adding: "These men made well meaning comments in a situation that quickly got out of control."

The Judge said Rocky Price should serve his 15 month sentence in prison while his brother would be taken to a young offenders Institution.
