A MASTER of illusion brought abracadabra rather than an abacus to a Wollaston school when he stopped off to bring a touch of magic to the classroom.
Magician Tony Charles from Sussex dropped into St James’s School, Kingsway, on February 16 to teach pupils a few mathematical tricks to help them brush up on their numerical skills.
Headteacher Anne Penn said: “This is the first time Tony Charles has visited our school. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day including parents who came to the workshop. We look forward to inviting him again for a science day.”
