GUTSY cricketers from Stourbridge can be seen striking some rather compromising poses in a revealing charity calendar which aims to raise cash for cancer sufferers.

Not-so modest members of Enville Cricket Club got undressed for the calendar dubbed The Only Way is Enville - to help boost club funds and support the Georgina Unit for cancer patients at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.

Sure to bowl over fans of the male form, it was shot free of charge by professional snapper Nigel Reed of Bromsgrove based Four Generations Photography (part of Redfrost Photography) who are more used to capturing top sporting stars such as Andrew Strauss on camera.

Wollaston cricketer Jamie Tristram is among members of the first and second team featured in the 2012 calendar which was designed by his artist and author dad Geoff.

Mr Tristram senior said: "There are lots of hunky, semi-naked cricketers and daft photos, designed for free by me and photographed for free by 4 Generations Photography who do the England cricketers such as Broad, Strauss etc. They're my mates, so I just begged them and they said yes - bless 'em."

He said members hope their stunt will help to provide a boost to Dudley’s cancer unit as a couple of well-known faces at the club have been struck down by the disease this year.

The calendar is currently on sale, priced £10 - although copies are limited. For availability call Geoff Tristram on 01384 442881.
