ADVENTUROUS older people are invited to take to the water and try out some daring new activities at an event in Netherton.
Age UK Dudley's Leap over 50 project has teamed up with Dudley Watersports to host a taster day for anyone over the age of 50 to try a variety of sports including sailing, rowing and waterskiing.
Free health checks, advice on maintaining a healthy diet and information about other Age UK services will also be on offer at Lodge Farm reservoir, off Highbridge Road, from 10am to 4pm on Thursday (July 17).
People of all abilities are invited to attend but are asked to bring a packed lunch.
Hot and cold drinks will be available to purchase.
Leap Over 50 co-ordinator, Karen Hancox, said: "It’s a great opportunity to try some new activities, have fun and meet new people."
The session will cost £10.
Places can be booked by emailing sam.mullet@ageukdudley.org.uk or calling 01384 343535.
